Jerrod Kamau Williams
Cinematographer | Camera Operator
I got into the field of visual arts when I was 21, in 2017. I started with photography before moving to motion picture. Narrative and documentary are my favorites types of video production.
The story behind E.o.K — “Eye of Kamau”
Kamau is my middle name. It means Quiet Warrior. This is a name that I have been an embodiment of long before I was aware of its meaning. As I experienced more of life, I grew to realize how special it is and my connection to it. With this being a connection that is beyond a “name,” I made sure it was the same case with my work. E.o.K doesn’t just represent the expression of my vision as an artist, it is an extension of my way of being… The Way of Kamau; one that puts service-to-others before service-to-self. One who seeks to grow, learn and be the best they can be regardless of the circumstances — all while doing it quietly, devoid of smug, expectations of recognition or rewards in return. It is about more than myself and is incorporated into every aspect of my life.
